High flood at Taunsa Barrage and Guddu barrage:INDUS RIVER

High flood at Taunsa Barrage and Guddu barrage:INDUS RIVER Taunsa and Guddu barrages Taunsa and Guddu barrages were in medium flood as of Monday. High flood was reported by the Flood Forecasting Division at Sukkur Barrage Having received widespread rainfall, floods are occurring on a huge scale across the country. The Taunsa and Guddu barrages have been in high flood this evening as the FFD mentioned earlier. The inflow of river water at Tarbela Dam was measured at 2.6 million cusecs, while the discharge was recorded at 2.4 million cusecs. The inflow of river water at Kalabagh has been measured at 2.69 million cusecs, while the discharge has been recorded at 2.64 million cusecs. The inflow and outflow of the river at Chashma are measured at 3.4 million and 3.2 million cubic cusecs respectively. Rivers in Pakistan have been low as Indus River has not been flowing The river has been in high flood at Taunsa Barrage with inflow of the water has been measured at 5,500 cusecs and discharge at 5,500 cusecs. The Indus River has also been in high flood at Guddu barrage, with an inflow of 4,829,000 cusecs, while the outflow was 4,829,000 cusecs. The river has been in medium flood, with 4,17,900 cubic meters of water. The influx of water at Kotri Barrage is measured at 2,46,800 cusecs and the outflow has been recorded as well. The Indus River has been experiencing low levels of flooding downstream of Kotri Barrage. Pakistan has experienced above-average rainfall this year in most parts of the country, which has caused flash floods in the country. The Indus River and four of its major canals have been closed in Kotri, Sukkur and Guddu due to flood risk. LAHORE: Also the flood warning for Ravi River is sourced of release of water by India from reservoir upstream Latest information through Pakistan Commissioner for Indus Waters (PCIW) Shows That; India has released 171,797 Cusecs water from Ujh Barrage at 1530 PST on Monday. According to information releases from Ujh Barrage, inflows are likely to increase in River Ravi at Jassar ranging between 70,000 cusecs to 100,000 cusecs, touching the mark of medium to high flood level during the period from 0000 PST of 16-08-2022 to 1200 PST of 16-08-2022. Flood Forecasting Division Says That all concerned organizations/Departments are advised to remain alert and ensure taking all necessary precautionary measures well in time to avoid any loss of precious human lives and damages to private & public property. The government also have been giving alarms to the people of lahore and nearby River Ravi for the flood to enter in city and to destroy millions of peoples works’ lands’ and other things so be careful and be prepared for any of the emergency situation
