PM Imran Khan Tuesday inaugurated the PAK-ID mobile application which is a project by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) that will assist the public, especially those who are overseas Pakistanis.
On his Twitter account the premier also praised the work of NADRA director Tariq Malik as well as his group on the introduction of the initiative.
“Inaugurated PAK-ID Mobile App by NADRA. A revolutionary step in providing convenience, especially to overseas Pakistanis,” posted the premier on the micro-blogging website.
The PM also chaired several meetings earlier on Tuesday , to examine various ongoing initiatives taken by his administration.
PM Imran attended a meeting with the Minister in charge of Civil Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan and received a presentation on outsourcing airports, as well as the regulatory and operational role for the Civil Aviation Authority.

Ghulam Sarwar briefed the prime minister of the successful completion of the construction of 500 flats in the Labour Complex Taxila and that seventy of the flats were allotted to the victims of the Ordnance Factory Wah. The election of these flats will take place in the near future, he said.
The PM Imran Khan also met with Minister for Food Security Fakhar Imam who gave him an update on the expected rise in the production of the crops of sugarcane, rice and cotton.
At the time of the meeting, Prime Minister Imran declared that his administration’s primary goal was to create Pakistan self-sufficient in its food production.
He added it was the responsibility of the government to work towards the execution of an agricultural reform plan to modernize the sector.
He was also informed of reforms being implemented by the ministry in the areas of fisheries and livestock.
The PM was informed that the ministry was introducing improvements to improve the reproduction of livestock, the supply of food as well as the supply of health facilities.
“Modern science is essential to advance’
The prime minister chaired a review panel to promote higher education. The prime minister announced that the federal government will provide every assistance possible to provinces in order to encourage higher education.
He emphasized the importance of science and technology as a driver of social growth and development.
