Pakistani athletes Hamza Umar Saeed and Mazhar Abbas dominated their Indian opponents to win gold medals in the 3rd Mount Everest International Open Taekwondo Championship held in Pokhara, Nepal.

In the final of the 87-plus category Kyorugi event, Hamza Saeed won -11-2 in the first round and 11-4 in the second round.
Mazhar won the finals by triumphing over India’s Rishab after a thrilling competition. Mazhar was the winner by 9-7 in Round 1 followed by an 8-3 win from his opponent in Round 2.
However, in the third round, Mazhar upped the ante and unleashed a vigorous attack to knock over the Indian opponent with 9-0.
Korea’s Tae Joon Park defeated his opponent in the final, Haroon Khan of Pakistan, 9-1 and 11-3.
In the 63kg final, India’s Shivam Sudesh Shetty edged past Pakistan’s Arbaaz Khan 6-5, 7-2.
Women Wrestling
In a 57-kg men’s semifinal, Indian wrestler Sonam Rawal beat Pakistani competitor Noor Rehman 3-0 and 4-0. Noor managed the Bronze in that match.
Pakistani athletes won three gold, two silver, and two bronze medals in the Kyorugi event of the World Championship.
In the Poomsae event, the Pakistani athletes won three golds, a silver, and four bronze medals.
Pakistan shuts out India in gold-silver-bronze bid
The national athletes of Pakistan received praise from their coach, interviewed by Korea and Iran respectively. The athletes performed outstandingly in the ever-popular Mt. Everest International Open Taekwondo Championship, held in Nepal.
They are hopeful that their remarkable achievements will be beneficial for athletes preparing for the Combaxx Asian Championship in November.
