Pakistan is reporting 8 deaths and 358 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24-hour period, quoting from the National Institute of Health (NIH).

Based on the information provided through the National Institute of Health (NIH) , 12,273 COVID-19 diagnostic tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours. Of these, 358 of them were positive.

Another eight patients were afflicted by the coronavirus virus during the same time. The country’s positive rate was 2.92 percent.

According to the information in the report, 165 patients with COVID-19 were being treated in Intensive Care Units (ICU) all over the country in various medical hospitals.

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 30537 individuals in Pakistan to date. According to the dashboard of the government the total number of cases across the country is 1,563,705.

The previous day, on August 12, Pakistan recorded 11 deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the highest number of deaths due to the virus in the past five months.

In the course of time, Pakistan recorded 6,24 new coronavirus cases as well as 11 fatalities — the most daily death toll since March 8 according to figures from the National Institute of Health (NIH).
