Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday predicted that Karachi will experience a stretch of heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds this morning.
As per the Met Office, a monsoon system is moving toward Karachi from both the east and west-eastern part of the city.
The city will be greeted by a shower with gusty winds within the coming two hours.
The day before it was reported that earlier in the day,(PMD) had published information on the rainfall of Thursday across different regions of Karachi including Quaidabad region receiving the most rain.
According to figures
According to figures released through PMD, according to the statistics released by PMD, Quaidabad area received 39.5mm of rain in the last four days from Thursday night.
Gulshan-e Hadeed and Saddar areas in the port city registered 28.0 and 22.0mm of rainfall, respectively.
However, Jinnah Terminal and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Faisal Base had 20.4mm and 23.0mm of rain, respectively. The Old City Area received 16.9mm.
Based on the Met Office, PAF Base Masroor was recorded as 1.0mm, University Road 9.2mm, North Karachi 0.6mm, Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase II 14.2mm as well as Saadi Town 2.1mm of rain.
