After heavy rains hit the city on Monday, police said part of an “abandoned” restaurant collapsed at a prominent location in the Do Daria metropolitan area and fell into the sea.
The official announcement came after videos circulated on social media showed that a deck near the sea had collapsed and people were trying to rescue those who had fallen.
However, police chief South Asad Raza said no casualties were reported and police said the restaurant was “abandoned” in the past 12 years.
