All of these countries will play in a qualifying round, and the winner of that round will then play on even footing with the rest of the tournament.
Six teams will compete in the main tournament. India, Pakistan and the qualifier are in group A. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in group B. Each team plays in within its group once before the knockout round.
In the top two teams will meet in a final. The Super 4 round is a series of games in League format between these two teams before the final.
Officials moved the cricket tournament from Sri Lanka to UAE last week
